We have an exciting opportunity for the Enterprise Risk Manager to play a role in shaping Zip's risk strategy across ANZ. Reporting to the Associate Director, Risk you will be a trusted risk advisor, responsible for driving the evolution and governance of Zip's enterprise risk and control management frameworks. This role requires a deep understanding of complex risk landscapes, regulatory expectations, and strategic business objectives. You will work closely with senior leaders, governance committees, and external regulators to embed a proactive and risk-aware culture at Zip.

Interesting problems you'll get to solve

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust enterprise risk management frameworks, policies, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine risk appetite statements and tolerance levels, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of key risk indicators, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Lead in-depth risk assessments, monitor risk profiles, and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified gaps.
  • Drive the preparation, coordination, and execution of Risk Committee meetings, shaping the agenda, and providing strategic recommendations for action plans.
  • Provide expert guidance on risk controls, incident management, and remediation plans for addressing deficiencies across Zip.
  • Conduct monitoring & testing activities over key processes & controls within the business.
  • Review, update, and enhance risk frameworks, policies, and supporting documents.
  • Lead the identification and analysis of risk data to form risk insights, including key risk indicators, key control indicators, and risk appetite metrics.
  • Champion the development of a proactive risk-aware culture across the enterprise, leading senior stakeholders to embed risk thinking into business decisions and operations.
  • Lead the strategic design and delivery of tailored risk training and awareness programs that empower leaders and employees to proactively manage risk.
  • Preparation and delivery of high-quality reports and presentations for management, Risk Committees, and Boards.

This role is perfect for a seasoned risk manager, with deep expertise in enterprise-wide risk management, and the ability to influence executive decision-making. You thrive in complex environments, balancing regulatory expectations, risk appetite, and business growth objectives to drive meaningful impact.

What you'll bring to the team

  • 12+ years' experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, or compliance, with exposure to financial services, fintech, or BNPL.
  • Expertise in developing and embedding risk frameworks, policies, and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex, high-impact risk scenarios and drive strategic solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience in delivering professional reports, training materials, and presentations.
  • Experience leading governance processes, including risk committee oversight, board engagement, and regulatory interactions.
  • A leadership mindset, with the ability to mentor, develop, and elevate risk capabilities across the business.
  • A proactive, strategic approach to risk, thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
