About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Workplace Trainer & Assessor to join our Group People & Culture team in the Pork Division. Reporting to the Team Leader of Training Delivery, this role involves planning and delivering training programs, as well as acting as the SME in designing and validating learning materials across pork farming operations.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Planning, conducting, and recording assessments
- Providing training, advice, and guidance to students
- Delivering learning via classroom, virtual, on-site, and discussions
- Identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes
- Supporting students' understanding of expectations
- Assessing learning needs and collaborating with sites for solutions
- Providing additional support for LLN/disability needs
- Validating and updating learning materials
- Tracking student progress
- Planning future training sessions
- Scheduling training based on site requirements
- Ensuring paperwork accuracy and meeting student requirements
About you:
- Motivated individual passionate about the food industry and working with people
- Experience in pork farming operations, including handling, housing, and feeding
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience in routine healthcare and pig movement
- Supportive and encouraging learner support skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to partner with site staff for learning and development
