Eight core behaviours were identified as being integral to achieving the vision:team player;caring;respectful;honest;advocate;collaborative;considerate and accountable.Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 (CNC1) means:a registered nurse appointed as such to a position approved by the Health Service, who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, and in addition who has approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the Health Service.

Selection Criteria Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current NSW Driver's License (if required by service).
Minimum five years full time equivalent post graduate qualification experience and/or a post graduate qualification in field of practice.
Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums and knowledge of the practice development framework to clinical practice.
Demonstrated involvement in the development/change of clinical practice underpinned by evidence based research.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.
Proven skills in clinical teaching, the identification of education needs in the clinical area, and competency in the use of contemporary information systems.
Ability to apply clinical expertise in client-centred consultancy with the ability to work independently.
Demonstrated recent cardiology experience in an acute care facility.
