Legal Counsel Data Privacy

Your Role: Reporting to the General Counsel ANZ (with functional reporting to the SAPMENA Zone DPO), you'll be the go-to expert for all things data privacy.
Collaborate with stakeholders, navigate evolving regulations, and ensure L'Oréal maintains its leading position.
Responsibilities include: Leading the Data Privacy Chapter and ensuring compliance.
Advising on data privacy, digital, and IT legal matters.
Drafting and negotiating data, IT, and digital contracts.
Developing and implementing data protection policies.
Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments.
Training colleagues on data protection best practices.
Investigating data privacy incidents.
Collaborating with internal teams to build compliant systems.
Reporting to management on data protection issues and risks.
Your Profile: Australian law degree with unrestricted practicing certificate and relevant experience (data privacy, technology, or digital law).
Consumer-facing or e-commerce experience a plus.
Strong contract negotiation and program management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
Understanding of IT and digital challenges.
