Senior Finance Analyst, Operations Finance

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial/non-financial data, creating reports, and providing insights to support our business decision-making process.
You will work closely with various teams across the organization to gather and analyze data, identify trends, and develop financial models, reports, and BI tools.At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth.
Operations is at the heart of what we do, delivering hundreds of thousands of items each day and fulfilling customer orders from all over the world.
The Operations Finance team is seeking a Finance Analyst to support financial analysis, planning, and control in our fast-growing Australian Fulfillment Network.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with Operations to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance.
Lead the operational planning and reporting process.Support expansion projects and new business initiatives, third-party agreements, network location analyses.
Ensure timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are created and maintained.Partner with Retail, IT, Transportation, and Supply Chain teams to drive optimal cross-functional decisions that maximize Amazon's long-term free cash flow.Drive standardization of operations reporting and BI tools within the Fulfillment Center network; adopt and share best practices across Emerging countries and worldwide.Contribute to the next generation development of site finance planning and analysis; influence across sites and across operating countries to effect change.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.3+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.Experience with cube engine tools (e.g.
TM1, Cognos, or Essbase), SQL, and Data warehouse.Experience in developing and maintaining data and visuals within Tableau/Power Bi/Quicksight.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA or CPA.Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
