Your next Opportunity : We now have a great opportunity available for a qualified Plant or Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Boral Asphalt team in Seven Hills.
Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to undertake and oversee the service and maintenance requirements for mobile asphalt plant equipment and heavy vehicle fleet, with a combination of workshop and field service.
What your day will look like : Work independently, and consult with operational teams on prioritization of tasks Ensure mobile asphalt equipment and heavy vehicles comply with relevant safety standards Maintain equipment in accordance with company requirements for operational purposes and to meet business objectives Perform a combination of workshop and field-based tasks and be available for nighttime standby as required Ensure all relevant permits and safety paperwork are in place before starting tasks Supervise contractors and labor onsite Monitor plant equipment for defects, using our maintenance system Undertake equipment assessments and reviews, and develop improvement plans What we are looking for : Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic HR License (desirable)Strong written and verbal communication skills and a safety-first focus Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision What's on Offer?Additional Monthly RDO, Vehicle, Allowances, and Overtime Get paid for every additional hour worked PLUS more Work on a rotating 24/7 standby roster with stand-by and call-out allowances Enjoy Monday to Friday hours, more time with loved ones Work for a safety-focused organization — "Our goal is to get you home safe"Genuine career development opportunities within Boral Australia Access to support networks including the Boral Employee Assistance Program J-18808-Ljbffr
