Senior Logistics Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics Officer to oversee and manage cane supply arrangements and logistics operations within the Herbert region.

This role will be based at Victoria Mill, located in the Herbert Region. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient and timely delivery of cane supply by ensuring all operations align with the business plan.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety Initiatives: Guide employees in participating in and supporting activities focused on environmental, health, and safety improvements.
  • Foster a Strong Performance Culture: Support and nurture a high-performance culture by providing clear operational direction, leadership, and guidance to ensure team success and accountability.
  • Supervise Best Practice Logistics Standards: Oversee the implementation and adherence to best practice logistics standards, ensuring operational efficiency and excellence in all logistics processes.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Encourage and champion continuous improvement efforts across the team, fostering innovation and finding ways to optimize processes for better outcomes.
  • Maintain Strong Relationships with Growers and Contractors: Collaborate with growers and harvesting contractors to address and resolve any issues, while maintaining positive, productive relationships that support long-term success.
About You:

We are looking for a candidate with relevant tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Agriculture, or equivalent practical experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of proven experience managing logistics operations in a diverse environment, and proficiency in the MS Office suite and logistics, maintenance, and procurement software.

Familiarity with SAP and knowledge of the sugar industry would be highly desirable.
