The team is responsible for a host of brands across Mona and its subsidiaries, including the museum, Dark Mofo, two premium wineries, Tassie's biggest craft brewer, a fleet of ferries, a recording studio, restaurants, bars, and music venues.

In your role as Mona's Head of Digital, you will support all relevant business units with digital strategies and lead a small team of digital engineers/developers to identify digital opportunities and efficiencies; manage the lifecycle of digital projects and developments; support the digital marketing requirements for Mona and its subsidiaries; and work with a range of stakeholders from across the Mona brands to provide the best user experience for both our internal and external audiences.

The Gig: The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide strategic digital guidance across all Mona and Dark Lab projects, identifying opportunities for innovation and business growth.
Lead a team of 4–5 developers and manage digital rollouts (products, platforms, campaigns) on time and within budget.
Maintain and improve Mona and Dark Lab's suite of websites, ticketing systems, and customer databases (e.g.
Tessitura, Prospect2, Shopify, Now Book It).
Oversee digital content production and rollout across communication channels in collaboration with the marketing team.
Analyse and manage large datasets to inform business decisions, collaborating with Mona's Data Modeller and other departments.
Work with the Technologies team to maintain and implement best-practice platforms, ensure legislative compliance, and develop documentation.
Provide platform training, support internal digital needs, manage external contractors, and oversee workload planning for the digital team.
The You: 7+ years of experience in a digital marketing, production or similar role 3+ years of experience in leading a team of developers Experience in large digital project management; Experience managing e-commerce platforms (Shopify beneficial); Experience using Tessitura, or another event ticketing system is highly desirable but not a requirement; Understanding of best SEO and SEM practices; Understanding of CPU load and API constraints and their effect on ticketing systems A good understanding of digital analytics (Google Analytics, social analytics); Experience using a variety of CMSs (headless CMS experience is beneficial) and a basic understanding of CMS configuration; Asset management and creation; A good understanding of UX/UI/UA principles; Basic understanding of HTML, Javascript, CSS is beneficial; An excellent understanding of email marketing; Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities; The ability to creatively problem solve.
