The Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care is a Queensland Health service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Located in Inala, 18 km Southwest of Brisbane CBD, our clinic is staffed by GPs, nurses, allied health and Aboriginal health workers, and visiting medical specialists.

About the Role

Demonstrate high level clinical and time management skills in screening and prioritising workload demands in a complex and high patient clinical environment.
Manage an allocated workload to deliver optometry services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within an interprofessional team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of more senior staff.
Initiate the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality and service improvement and/or research activities that enhance the delivery of optometry services.
