Direct message the job poster from Morgan Consulting Industrial Automation Engineer – FMCG | Manufcaturing Location: South West Sydney Work Type: Full-time | On-site We're partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer to find a skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to support day-to-day site operations in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.
This is a technical, hands-on role working across robotics, packaging and production systems within a 24/7 operation.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you'll be a key part of the site's automation support function — ensuring smooth daily performance of control systems, supporting maintenance teams, and helping drive reliability across the plant.
What You'll Be Doing Provide daily support for automation systems and control equipment across the site Troubleshoot and resolve faults on PLC, HMI and SCADA systems (primarily Rockwell/Allen-Bradley) Contribute to minor automation improvements and reliability enhancements Collaborate with electrical, mechanical and production teams to maintain performance across key assets Work closely with the engineering team to ensure site automation runs efficiently, safely and reliably While the focus is business-as-usual, there may be opportunities to contribute to future project work as site upgrades and capex activity progresses What You'll Bring Qualifications in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering Experience in automation or controls within a manufacturing or FMCG setting Strong working knowledge of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA) Practical troubleshooting skills and a strong understanding of production environments A collaborative approach and ability to support multiple teams in a fast-paced setting Why Join?
