This position reports to Service Projects and Engineering Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline.
Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner.
You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.
The work model for the role is: hybrid #Hybrid.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Service Business in Western Australia.
You will be mainly accountable for: Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
You will join a dynamic, talented, and high-performing team within our Electrification Service Business, where you will thrive by leading and managing projects that support utility, industrial, and commercial customers in managing their energy and electrical infrastructure as strategic operational assets.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will ensure the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of these projects, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
Qualifications for the role You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering (Certified professional engineering qualification preferred).
You are skilled in working with MV/LV switchgear, protection relays, and communication systems (SCADA) and the electrification service market.
You have 5+ years of experience in the field of electrical engineering with a proven track record in managing projects.
Highly adept in specialized software such as Auto CAD, ETAP and MS Office.
You are passionate about innovative problem-solving and effective project management.
You are at ease communicating in English and have advanced proficiency in technical documentation.
Full work rights in Australia are preferred.
