Job Description
This 12-month ECC Internship offers an outstanding opportunity to work alongside experienced Emergency and Critical Care clinicians in a busy, well-equipped hospital.
As an ECC Intern, you will:
Assist with emergency cases and critical care management
Work as a primary clinician under supervision
Participate in diagnostics, treatment planning, and post-operative care
Work a flexible roster that includes evenings/nights, weekends and public holidays
Engage in structured learning including journal club, tutorials, and case presentations
Receive one-on-one mentoring and support from ECC specialists and senior clinicians
Be part of a passionate, friendly team committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting your professional development.
About you
The successful applicant will have:
A veterinary degree (DVM, BVSc or equivalent) recognised in Australia
Eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of Victoria
Strong communication and time management skills
Proven ability to work well in a team environment
A proactive, hands-on approach to patient care
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
Previous clinical experience or a rotating internship is desirable but not essential
