Windows Systems Engineer

This is an opportunity for a proactive and highly skilled professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and driving operational excellence.
This will be a daily rate contract, with hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and enhance a multi-site SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Lead efforts in SCCM architecture, including redesigns, structural improvements, and high-impact reconfigurations.
Manage and maintain both Windows Server and Client fleets, ensuring stability, security, and consistency across environments.
Contribute to the organisation's modern device management strategy, with Microsoft Intune experience being highly desirable.
Implement and support Application Control and Whitelisting solutions; Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) experience is preferred but not essential.
Identify inefficiencies in current system designs and operational processes, recommending and implementing improvements where needed.
Champion a security-first approach, with a Zero Trust mindset, advocating for strict security standards and best practices.
Ensure all current and new system designs, configurations, and procedures are clearly and accurately documented.
Ideal Candidate: Brings a depth of experience in SCCM, especially in complex, distributed environments.
Demonstrates strong technical acumen across both server-side and client-side Windows environments.
Shows a passion for process optimisation and system architecture.
Displays a proactive approach to security with a no-compromise attitude.
Communicates clearly and can produce thorough documentation to support long-term system stability and knowledge sharing.
