The General Manager, DUELI oversees the English Language Institute (DUELI), managing its brand, budget, and strategic positioning within the university and international markets.
The role involves meeting student recruitment targets, marketing ELI pathway programs, developing pathways into Deakin University and Deakin College, and ensuring high student satisfaction.
Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Vice President (International), the role provides academic and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team, including workforce planning, recruitment, and professional development of teachers.
It also involves driving business development, ensuring compliance, conducting environmental scanning, engaging with sector bodies, and setting strategic direction for ELI.
To be successful, you'll have: A relevant degree and postgraduate qualifications, TESOL qualifications, with extensive experience in English Language Training programs.
Significant leadership and management experience in university ELICOS settings.
Proven expertise in developing, teaching, and evaluating English for Academic Purposes, English for Specific Purposes, and General English courses.
Understanding of pathway options and issues faced by international students in English language pathway programs.
Experience in international marketing and business development.
Budget management experience for revenue and expenditure.
