About the Role The demand planning team at Gategroup is responsible for forecasting and planning customer aircraft and meal loadings, validating key customer data for invoicing, and supporting downstream teams such as procurement, labor planning, meal preparation, and finance to meet and exceed customer expectations.
We now have a rare opportunity for a Junior Demand Planner based in Mascot who is passionate about learning and joining our friendly, high-performing team.
You will focus on: The short-range customer meal and handling forecast for a valued customer, supporting complete and timely meal planning and delivery.
Assisting with the management of operational and delivery data for a key customer.
Validation and correction of customer data for completed flights, supporting finance with invoicing and the demand planning team with internal reporting KPIs.
Developing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborating with internal teams such as master data management, operations, procurement, materials management, and finance to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Supporting internal operations in maintaining production schedules.
Managing and resolving queries with key customer stakeholders.
Performing ad-hoc administrative and analysis activities within the demand planning team as needed.
About you Recently completed or about to complete tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, or a related field.1–2 years' experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
Knowledge of forecasting is advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
A proactive self-starter with a willingness to learn.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels, including external clients.
Full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
