About the job: Windows and VMware Engineer Job Description: We are seeking a Windows and VMware Engineer with extensive experience to join our team.
Experience Must Have: Approximately 12 years of domain experience in at least three of the following: Windows, VMware, Citrix, Exchange, PRTG, ADFS, AD, and Linux.
At least 2 years of team management experience in an onshore/offshore model.
Act as a single point of contact for the client regarding all infrastructure requirements.
Consolidate and present reports on tickets to the client.
Desirable: 2 years of project management experience.
Excellent customer interaction skills.
Experience in data center operations.
Strong business acumen and IT knowledge.
Strategic and analytical problem-solving skills.
Background in operations or consulting.
Ability to perform independently.
Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of Active Directory (AD) tasks and activities.
Administering Windows Server 2008 and 2012 R2 Active Directory domains using standard Microsoft tools.
Understanding of FSMO roles.
Experience with ADFS and cloud integrations.
Knowledge of installing and managing internal and external certificates.
Support for Office 365.
Creating objects and managing permissions in Active Directory.
Experience with MS Exchange.
Knowledge of Big Fix for patch management.
Support for F5 Load Balancers.
Managing Active Directory object permissions, groups, and policies.
Experience with Microsoft Distributed File System and its replication.
Managing DNS and DHCP solutions within Active Directory.
Active Directory migration experience.
Automating AD processes and tasks.
Configuring and maintaining WSUS and SCCM servers.
Proven writing skills for documentation and presentations.
Experience installing ESX servers, v Center, and v Sphere Client.
Knowledge of advanced VMware features like VMotion, Storage VMotion, HA, and DRS.
Experience with VM migration using VMware Converter and provisioning from templates.
Experience with disaster recovery using SRM.
Health checks for VMs and ESX hosts.
Enterprise PKI administration experience.
Management of AD sites, trust relationships, LDAP configuration, and troubleshooting.
