The Role We're looking for a seasoned engineering leader, someone with 10 to 20 years of experience, to join our leadership team and guide Respondent through its next stage of growth.
You'll report directly to our CEO and founder and collaborate closely with leaders across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
This is a pivotal role at the intersection of product innovation, technical execution, and company-wide impact.
You'll lead our technical strategy for how we apply LLMs and vector search to match the right participants to the right research projects - intelligently, accurately, and at scale.
You'll manage and mentor a high-performing team of six engineers, shaping both technical direction and engineering culture.
This isn't a pure management role - you'll stay hands-on ~30% of the time, especially when it matters most.
You've likely led engineering teams through scale, exit, or IPO, and you know what it takes to build durable systems, make smart architectural bets, and scale without sacrificing velocity.
You have a strong sense of where to invest engineering effort for maximum leverage - and where to avoid over-engineering too early.
This is a full-time, in-office role in Martin Place.
