Role Overview
This role would suit a mid-senior Process Engineer with a strong technical background in Chemical / Process Engineering.
As a Lead Process Engineer, you will:
Provide expertise and manage process design through engineering phases from concept / select, FEED through to detailed design and delivery.
Proactively communicate with Project Managers and Team Members to ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.
Manage and track single-discipline projects.
Write technical reports as required.
Prepare proposals and tenders (hours estimation and scope definition) for new and ongoing works.
Provide technical guidance to develop junior engineers.
Source new clients and leverage existing relationships to promote the Process offering and drive opportunities.

As a Lead Process Engineer, you will have:
A Process Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 15+ years of process design experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
CPEng or CEng / RPEQ registration.
Excellent skills in Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Uni Sim, and DNV PHAST software packages.
Sound knowledge of process safety including risk identification and assessment through HAZID / HAZOP, dispersion / radiation analysis, and hazardous area classification.
Skills in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, instruments and equipment data sheets, utilities flow diagrams, and chemical consumption / effluent summaries.
Excellent report writing skills.
Ability and experience in providing technical support through the full lifecycle of projects, from feasibility studies to commissioning.
Hands-on, flexible, and able to work autonomously on multiple projects.
Strong communication skills and team orientation.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a positive work environment.
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting deadlines.
Hazop / LOPA facilitator experience and accreditation (desirable).
Familiarity with Australian and international standards.
Consulting and operational experience is a plus.
