About the Role : Step into a dynamic leadership role as the Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Out of Hospital Strategy, providing expert nursing and midwifery services across diverse health settings.
Building on your experience and advanced skills, you'll progress from competent to proficient practice, taking accountability for high standards, guiding less experienced staff, and supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in leading a committed team.
In this pivotal role, you'll : Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with senior nursing leaders.
Drive practice improvements and support change implementation.
Contribute to ward, unit, and service management, including staffing, rostering, performance management, recruitment, and resource planning.
As the Out of Hospital Liaison Nurse, you'll consult with A&E and acute care teams to facilitate early discharges, prevent unnecessary admissions, and ensure seamless community-based care.
You'll also lead the development and delivery of initiatives like Country Home Link (CHL) Coordination and Rapid Intensive Brokerage Services (RIBS), aiming to: Reduce emergency department presentations and hospital admissions.
Shorten inpatient length of stay.
Support timely transfers from metropolitan services back to local communities.
Improve service access for vulnerable groups.

Looking for a change of scenery? – Nursing About You : Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible for a current practicing certificate.
At least 3 years post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
Demonstrated competence in relevant nursing practice standards.
Experience supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
