COOK – Diggers Rest Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a premier winery and restaurant located in Diggers Rest, just 40 minutes from Melbourne's CBD.

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join their vibrant kitchen team.
Location : Diggers Rest, VICSalary : $75k to $85k per annum plus superannuation Employment Type : Full-time, permanent Recruitment Managed By : Kogan People Solutions Cuisine – upscale, broad appeal Responsibilities of our Cook will include : High standard meals preparation and quality control (checks of raw materials, temperature controls).
Ensure compliance of the HACCP system regarding food handling procedures.
Portion and plate foods in accord with company policy and procedures.
Hygienic food storage in refrigerators.
Training of kitchen staff and apprentices as required.
Assist in planning menus, estimating food and ordering food supplies.
Maintaining quality and quantity of food.
Keeping temperature controlling for food storage.
Discuss food preparation issues with Head and Sous Chef, Managers, kitchen and waiting staff.
About you : You have a passion for cooking – you want to produce the finest.
You have a well organised working style – able to cheerfully meet demanding work requirements.
You can work independently, and as part of a team, and have an excellent communication style.
You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food trends.
You have an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality.
To be successfully considered for the role you : Possess relevant Certificate IV or agreed substitute.
Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience since earning your qualifications.
Are available across the working week, including weekends.
Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
Have experience working in a similar cuisine and professional environment.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
