Lower Primary Teacher For Arnhem Land Island, Nt
3 weeks ago
This role focuses on delivering high-quality education with a strong emphasis on relationship-building, cultural awareness, and re-establishing core programs.
The school caters for children from birth to Year 12, with a Families as First Teachers (Fa FT) program for 0-4-year-olds and a combined primary and secondary school.
As the Transition (Prep)-Year 2 teacher, you will work alongside committed Assistant Teachers, local staff, and school leadership to create a safe, engaging, and culturally responsive learning environment.
The class has 13 students on the roll.
Living on the island offers a unique and rewarding experience in a close-knit Arnhem Land community.
Life is deeply connected to the outdoors, with the sea, bush, and sky forming the backdrop to daily life.
Outside of school, teachers can enjoy fishing, camping and exploring the island's natural beauty - ensuring you gain necessary cultural permissions.
