About the Opportunity Are you passionate about travel? An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Travel Sales Consultants to join our industry-leading travel agency team in the Melbourne CBD store and head office.
We pride ourselves on delivering great service and creating unforgettable travel experiences for our customers.
This could be just the right role for you?As a Retail Travel Sales Consultant, you will utilise your exceptional customer service skills and share your extensive knowledge of global destinations and passion for travel.
You will be responsible for creating personalised travel itineraries and managing the customer experience from beginning to end.
Your key responsibilities include: Promoting holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & travel insurance Building relationships with customers face-to-face and online, managing enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments, and cancellations Facilitating domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers, using Amadeus GDSConverting enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross-selling & up-selling of travel products Managing travel credits, refunds, and changes Attending sales meetings and achieving targets & KPIs Participating in industry events such as supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos Our Melbourne CBD retail store is open Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
Our team works during these hours with occasional out-of-office industry events.
The business may consider increasing to a 7-day trade in the future, requiring staff to work weekends.
What you'll need to be successful Certificate 3 in Travel or higher, preferred GDS experience in Amadeus, Sabre preferred Passion for the travel industry and personal travel experience Excellent organisational, attention to detail & problem-solving skills Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent personal presentation We are Offering Permanent Full-time, 38 hours/week Competitive Salary, industry benchmarked Generous employee benefits & discounts on RACV products and resorts Training, development, and career progression opportunities Uniform provided The RACV difference Ready to reach your full potential?
