About the
Role
This
position is responsible for workplace rehabilitation and injury
management services and support to the organisation where employees
have suffered a work-related or non-work-related injury, illness or
condition, in accordance with legislative, self-insurance and
organisational requirements to ensure their safe return to the
workplace.
It
is the primary conduit between an employee, their
supervisor/manager and treating medical and allied health
professionals in the identification, facilitation, negotiation and
implementation of a safe workplace rehabilitation program where the
employee may be suffering from a physical and/or psychological
injury, illness or condition.
The role will further be required to
facilitate psychosocial risk assessments across the
organisation.
About
You
The ideal candidate
is passionate about fostering a safe, supportive, and proactive
workplace.
They will hold a degree in occupational therapy, allied
health, health & safety, or a related discipline, along with
current Rehabilitation and Return to Work accreditation.
They will
bring a proven track record in developing and managing health and
wellbeing initiatives, including budget oversight and procurement,
and possess deep expertise in psychosocial hazard management and
risk assessment.
Their experience in high-level case coordination
across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, covering both
work-related and non-work-related injuries and early intervention
programs, will be essential.
You'll be tech-savvy, with
advanced skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, and adept at
designing forward-thinking health programs informed by legislative
changes and injury trend analysis.
Strong communication is key,
you'll be a trusted advisor, educator, and mentor, forging
meaningful relationships with stakeholders through clear,
empathetic dialogue and professional written
correspondence.
