Assistant Accountant

About the role We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our team in the Sydney CBD office, supporting one of our most prestigious strata branches.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Reporting to the Assistant Accountant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering professional strata management services to our clients.
Objectives Produce monthly financial statements, including year-end and interim accounts such as balance sheets, income & expenditure reports, cash payments, and debtor statements for our body corporate clients.
Ensure compliance with tax obligations and assist in preparing BAS and annual tax returns.
Prepare and reconcile financial accounts, including both cash and accrual-based accounting.
Arrange and manage audits.
Support Strata Managers with inquiries.
About you Ideally, you will have at least 1 year's experience in a similar all-rounder Assistant Accountant role in the Property Management or Strata industry.
However, if not, a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow will set you apartExperience using Strata Master or similar programs is preferred.
You hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
You have an exceptional eye for detail and strong time management skills.
You are proficient with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
You are a self-starter and passionate about being a team player.
