You are an accomplished Senior Lawyer who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
This role is ideal for a business-savvy legal professional eager to work closely with international founders, investors, and innovators, providing both strategic and technical legal counsel.
You will work very closely with the Managing Director – Australia, attending to all of the same matters with a significant amount of client-facing work.
Job requirements Serve as a trusted legal and strategic advisor to investors, entrepreneurs and technology-focused businesses Lead and manage a broad range of corporate transactions, including M&A, venture capital and venture debt financings, and corporate structuring.
Provide guidance on cross-border legal matters, including tax implications, regulatory compliance, and corporate redomestications.
Negotiate complex commercial agreements, supplier/vendor contracts, and partnership arrangements.
Act as an external General Counsel for select clients, advising on capital raises, HR structuring, and corporate governance matters.
Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to drive business growth.
Find creative and innovative solutions to client challenges, activating real growth across all facets of technology law.
Take ownership of key client relationships and matters.
Act as a trusted guide, enabling tech innovators to achieve their objectives.
Stay on top of emerging trends in corporate law, venture financing, and global regulatory landscapes.
Work collaboratively with Biztech's international legal team to support seamless client service across multiple jurisdictions.You will bring: J.
D.
from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Australia 5+ years of corporate law experience, preferably in a mix of Big Law, in-house, or entrepreneurial legal settings.
Deep knowledge of business law, tax implications, and regulatory considerations for multinational clients.
Experience advising startups, investors, and scaling companies on financing transactions, M&A, and structuring deals is highly regarded Exceptional client relationship management skills and the ability to communicate complex legal matters with clarity.
A self-starter with a passion for providing holistic legal and business solutions to clients.
Strong business acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with a global team.
