Relocation Opportunity - Brisbane, Queensland We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance / Engineering Manager who is highly motivated to manage the maintenance function at a large-scale, complex milling / mixing site to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have proven engineering and maintenance knowledge, demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills, and have the ability to implement efficiencies to limit production issues.
This opportunity is based in Brisbane and is ideal for candidates looking to relocate for a new and exciting role.
Permanent, full-time role Salary: $130,000 per annum plus super Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Location: Tennyson, Queensland Responsibilities: Adhere to Allied Pinnacle policies and procedures, and participate in continual process improvement.
Implement standardised preventative, corrective, and condition-based maintenance systems to ensure plant availability, including a Total Preventative Maintenance system across the site.
Ensure all capital expenditure projects meet maintenance requirements, including spare parts, PM schedules, maintainability, and plant safety, and coordinate with external contractors.
Maintain effective cost control of maintenance and assist in budget preparation.
Support operational implementation of Quality Management, Food Safety, and Occupational Health and Safety systems.
Ensure maintenance procedures comply with ISO 9002 and HACCP standards.
Ensure all equipment operates within environmental guidelines (noise, emissions, dangerous goods) and lead Environmental Management System efforts.
Ensure plant and equipment safety and compliance with Plant Safety Regulations; enforce safe work practices among maintenance staff.
Provide leadership and motivation to maintenance employees to meet company objectives and schedules.
Allocate staff efficiently and effectively.
Manage maintenance training needs according to planned programs.
Assess current and future staffing needs.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities and maintain records for full reconciliation of activities.
Achieve internal customer satisfaction levels.
Participate in weekly national maintenance conference calls.
Complete weekly and monthly KPI reports.
Qualifications: Engineering, Industrial Trade, or related discipline qualification.
10+ years of industrial site maintenance experience.
Minimum 5-10 years in maintenance management or supervisory roles.
5-10 years experience in a Food Manufacturing environment, with experience in flour milling highly advantageous.
Experience: Strong internal customer awareness.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Hands-on engineering capabilities.
Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
SAP experience.
Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
Leadership skills to manage maintenance staff and activities.
Experience managing small projects and overseeing contractors on major projects.
Ability to manage on-site service providers and contractors.
