Your next career opportunity As the Investigations and Communications Coordinator at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing security strategies that protect a diverse campus community.
You'll lead investigations, manage high-profile events, and drive innovative crime prevention initiatives.
This role offers you the opportunity to shape the university's security culture, influence policy decisions, and contribute to a safe environment for learning and research.
Your responsibilities will include: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement crime prevention strategies to safeguard the university community and assets.
Investigations Management: Lead investigations into criminal activities on campus, liaising with law enforcement agencies as needed.
Event Security: Manage security arrangements for special events and VIP visits, ensuring safety while maintaining the university's reputation.
Training and Development: Prepare and deliver high-quality security training and awareness programs for university stakeholders.
Risk Analysis: Conduct security reviews and provide expert advice to mitigate risks and threats to safety.
You may be a great fit if: You are a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in law enforcement or a similar field, possessing strong investigative skills and the ability to develop strategic security initiatives in a complex organisational environment.
You may also: Have substantial experience in law enforcement or security management at a senior level.
Demonstrate expertise in criminal investigations, evidence gathering, and witness interviewing.
Show strong skills in risk analysis and security planning for major events.
Possess excellent communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and delivering training.
Have experience in developing and implementing crime prevention strategies.
Show proficiency in analysing security data and preparing comprehensive reports.
Demonstrate leadership abilities in managing critical incidents and motivating teams.
Hold relevant qualifications in law enforcement or security (desirable).
Have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
Be willing to undergo a police check if required.
