Training Manager – Heavy Industry | Permanent Role | Tomago Ready to take ownership of workforce capability and training across a national heavy industry business?  We're looking for a skilled Training Manager to lead the delivery of structured, effective, and high-impact training programs across our operational workforce—including mechanical and electrical trades, apprentices, and support roles—in both our workshops and field service teams.  This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Tomago site, reporting into the General Manager, Maintenance Execution.  What You'll Be Doing Designing and delivering operational training programs aligned to our internal competency frameworks Leading onboarding, technical upskilling, refresher, and verification-of-competency (Vo C) programs Partnering with workshop managers and field service leads to ensure workforce capability matches business need Tracking training compliance and managing records in our Learning Management System (LMS) Coaching leaders on training pathways and driving continuous improvement in training content and delivery Collaborating with L& D, WHS, Compliance, RTOs and TAFEs to make sure everything we deliver meets standard  What You'll Bring Solid training experience in a heavy industry, mining, or industrial setting (5+ years ideal) Familiarity with competency-based training frameworks and training compliance Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) A background in the trades—mechanical, electrical or heavy diesel—would be an advantage Strong communicator who can work across functions and bring people on the journey A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is highly regarded What's in it for You A leadership role that has real impact across frontline teams A business that backs safety, practical training, and operational excellence Full-time permanent role based in Tomago, with travel to other sites as needed   About UsBis is a resources logistics and materials handling business with decades of experience supporting mining and industrial operations across Australia.
