Right now, the company is experiencing exciting growth across the country, and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team.The RoleIn this role you will report to the CSSA Engineering Manager as a senior member of the CSSA Engineering Management function.
In this role you will provide technical management and leadership to a multi-disciplinary pool of technical staff to execute a portfolio of design development projects for the Hobart Class Destroyers.
This role will work in a peer relationship with the S&Q Portfolio Project Manager and in close collaboration with the CSSA Program Chief Engineer.Key responsibilities include:Managing the execution of a portfolio of design projects and Leading a pool of technical staff by Ensuring consistent planning and reporting of design scope across the portfolio Identifying scope conflicts and efficiency opportunities across the portfolio Monitoring the health of the design projects and implement or facilitate corrective actions Providing accurate and timely reporting to the CSSA Engineering Manager including identification of any help required Provide technical subject matter expertise to the design teams Co-ordinating support from Raytheon Subject Matter Experts Providing staff mentoring and supporting staff career development Establishing and maintaining a strong and complimentary peer-to-peer relationship with the S&Q Portfolio Project Manager Supporting internal and external Customer engagement as required by the design projects Position located at Garden Island, NSW Skills, Experience and Qualifications:10+ years in Australian Defence Industry Management of multi-disciplinary design development programs Leadership of multi-disciplinary design development teams Work within an accredited Quality Management System environment Broad experience in designer roles within design development teams NV1 Security Clearance Desired QualificationsBachelors or Masters in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software or similar) Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or RPEQ, INCOSE CSEP, or Defence engineering accreditations Don't miss the opportunity to build your career in a world class team and help build the defence systems that keep Australia safe.As our employees say, we do great work at Raytheon Australia and it's great to #workhere.
