Project Design Engineer

Permanent full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary from $104,144.65 - $112,726.88 per annum + 12% superannuation + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance

Join our growing Campbelltown LGA team by working on infrastructure project designs that add value to our community and region.
This role reports to the Engineering and Traffic Management Coordinator and offers the opportunity to collaborate with specialists in Open Space, Flood and Stormwater, Natural Areas, and Strategic Transport.

About the role :
The successful candidate will deliver infrastructure design projects including roads, stormwater, drainage, car parks, street lighting, footpaths, cycleways, and public open spaces.
Responsibilities include detailed design, reviews, documentation, quantity and cost estimation, and traffic management.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with relevant experience.
Innovative and sustainable design knowledge across local government projects, especially roads, stormwater, footpaths, cycleways, street lighting, and community projects.
Proficiency in Auto CAD (preferably Civil 3 D) and related software.
Current Class C driver's license.
Knowledge of development planning and environmental issues (beneficial).
Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
Teamwork and leadership abilities.
Commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
