What You Can Expect The Instrument Planner for Zimmer Biomet Australia New Zealand is responsible for proactively managing instrument purchases and deployment in Australia and New Zealand.
This involves being a key stakeholder with Demand Planners, Marketing and Operations to build a an annual deployment plan, ordering and managing the deployment plan to meet the monthly Cap Ex target and communicating opportunities and risks regarding expenditure and optimisation The candidate will be responsible for optimizing inventory to improve service levels and reduce excess.
Key to success in this role is the need to develop a relationship with the local demand planners, product managers and overseas suppliers including counterparts within the region.
They will oversee the end-to-end process of asset deployment in ANZ.
How You'll Create Impact Ordering and deployment of instruments to plan Run MRP for the weekly PO replenishment cycle for both instrument deployment and spare parts Maintain the efficient running of MRP for instruments, including the management of open PO's and data hygiene for MRP inputs Review backorders and follow up on stock shortages with suppliers Communicate with suppliers and attend supply meetings Communicate supply gaps to the ANZ Marketing / Operations Liaise with global for redeployment opportunities Optimise the inventory of deployed & undeployed instruments Analyse the productivity of existing deployed assets to determine action plans to mitigate risk and improve service levels Maintain ANZ safety stock for consumption / losses / damages Maintain ANZ inventory for forecasted deployment plan Reduce excess instrument inventory to optimise space and P&LDeliver high service levels by deploying value-add instruments Attend all SOP meetings, working with key stakeholders to : Manage the instrument spend budget annually, in line with finance, marketing, demand planning, and operations Communicate progress of the instrument release plan Identify risks and opportunities Problem solve complex commercial and supply chain challenges to deliver revenue and expense needs Your Background Approximately three years of experience in an Operational, Planning or Finance role, ideally within the Medical devices sector, with exposure to MRP and supply planning Demonstrated ability to work through complex problems and tenaciously seek a resolution.
Demonstrated analytical ability, with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work with SAP & complex Excel spreadsheets Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment.
