This includes working with TRI's Building Services, Corporate Affairs, Marketing & Industry, ICT, Procurement, Construction and Property teams.
This role would suit someone with experience in property law who is keen to expand their skillset, or a commercial generalist with property experience.
The Legal Counsel (Commercial and Property) will also be a key legal advisor for TRI in relation to the Translational Manufacturing at TRI ( ) Project.
will be Australia's first scale-up biomedical manufacturing facility supporting mid-stage biotech companies as they mature and manufacture products for Phase II and III clinical trials studies.
This role is offered on a 12 month Parental Cover.
It will be Part-time/Full-Time, 30.4 - 38 hours per week depending on the preference of the successful candidate.
Key Selection Criteria Experience 4 - 5 years post admission experience (experience in a property, projects/infrastructure or general commercial team are ideal) In-house legal experience is preferable but not essential Experience in the medical research or university sector is desirable but not essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to provide legal advice in a commercial, pragmatic and accessible way Excellent understanding of property law as well as the legal aspects of projects and procurement Experience in advising on general commercial matters including general procurement, ICT, communications and marketing Experience in construction law, including advising on major development or construction projects is desirable Demonstrated ability to draft a wide variety of legal documents and to handle and resolve complex legal issues Ability to work autonomously in areas of responsibility High level of integrity and professional accountability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Qualifications Law degree and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (or equivalent) Unrestricted Queensland Practising Certificate (or equivalent) or ability to obtain one To apply for this position, candidates must submit a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and a current resume quoting job reference 1820 .
