Global engineering business with huge legacy in Australia Work across building and infrastructure related markets About Our Client We are currently working with a world class business, who are at the forefront of design, analysis and assessments across the building and infrastructure markets.
Due to their continued growth in the Newcastle region, they are looking for a Structural engineer to join their team there on a full time permanent basis.
Job Description Mentored by their Senior engineers, you will ensure continuous delivery of high quality and efficient designs.
You will be given the opportunity to work across an array of clients, including architects, builders, developers etc, and make a contribution to the overall business development and diversification of the Newcastle office.
On a typical day, you will:* Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and manage designs* Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to meet project goals* Use design software to create structural works plans* Work with drafting teams to produce structural documentation* Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with regulation requirements* Prepare project reports, technical documents and proposals* Be involved in the mentorship of engineering graduates The Successful Applicant What background will you have to be successful?:* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering* 3+ year's experience in Structural design* Proficiency in SPACE GASS, Strand7, ETABS and/or RAPT will be highly regarded* Strong understanding of contemporary design standards such as AS1170, AS4100, AS3600, AS3700, AS1720 and more What's on Offer This is a great opportunity to join a world leading engineering consultancy with a large history in the Australian market coupled with a global footprint.
