Key Responsibilities:

Generate daily reports on absenteeism, send SMS messages to parents/carers, advise and follow up with teachers, and document relevant information on an excel spreadsheet and on One School.
Generate a 'Daily Attendance Report' every morning and provide it to all teaching staff and deputy principals, including notifying teachers of amendments to attendance records due to late notifications.
Collect and coordinate data to determine and document reasons for absences by students, especially those who are chronically absent, monitor student programs, and provide information to teachers and school leaders as needed, liaising with Student Support Officer, Head of Special Education Program, and Guidance Officer to address issues affecting student engagement.
Maintain a database listing students who are independent students, reside with carers (guardian, kinship care, child safety officers), or are subject to legal orders against parents/guardians, or other issues impacting attendance.
