The Opportunity We are seeking a Floor Coordinator to support with duties conducted in our Operating Theatres at Westmead Private Hospital.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of theatre operations, ensuring smooth workflow, optimal patient care, and effective communication among multidisciplinary teams.
Afternoon shifts are available, offering flexibility for work-life balance.
Your duties will include (but not limited to): Support and contribute to planning, implementing, and evaluating care practices, processes, and services.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements to uphold best practices.
Collaborate with Shift Leaders and Clinical Managers to achieve excellence in care delivery.
Lead and inspire a dedicated team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.
Work closely with on-shift doctors to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to best practices.
Report directly to the Perioperative Services Manager, contributing to strategic goals and objectives.
Skills And Experience To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective leader with the ability to motivate others.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to coordinate and motivate a large team of clinical and non-clinical professionals.
You will also bring; Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience in theatres or acute care Previous experience of floor coordinating in Operating Theatre will be highly regarded.
Clinical leadership experience or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice Sound Computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Critical thinking skills Analytical and ability to problem solve Critical care experience desirable but not essential.
A sound understanding and management of KPIs, staffing allocations and problem solving skills are crucial.
A participation in the on-call roster when needed.
