Senior Communications Advisor

Overview Are you a strategic communicator who thrives on building relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering outstanding content? Georgiou is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Communications Advisor to join our National Communications Team, with a dedicated focus on our largest operations in WA.
This is an autonomous role where you'll balance strategic communications with hands-on delivery.
You'll partner closely with senior leaders, project teams, and clients to deliver high-impact communications that strengthen Georgiou's reputation and align with our growth pipeline.
Responsibilities Lead strategic communications across WA, ensuring alignment with Georgiou's national priorities and growth pipeline.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders (including Main Roads WA and industry groups).
Provide frameworks and guidance — from award submissions to communications about our projects — enabling project teams to deliver with confidence and consistency.
Source, craft and champion stories that showcase our projects, people and culture across all channels.
Deliver local events and initiatives that drive engagement, while contributing to national programs.
Keep a pulse on communications and industry trends, bringing fresh ideas that strengthen Georgiou's brand and impact.
Qualifications Demonstrated experience in a similar communications role, ideally within civil construction, professional services, or engineering.
The confidence to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, challenge existing approaches, and propose innovative solutions.
Strategic capability to provide frameworks, guidance, and influence, while ensuring delivery standards remain high.
Exceptional writing and content creation skills, underpinned by a strategic mindset — able to craft clear, compelling messages that influence and inspire.
Robust project management skills, initiative, and the drive to elevate communications across WA.
Your application will be highly regarded (though not mandatory) if you can also demonstrate: Experience in driving communications transformation Value-add skills such as graphic design (Adobe Suite), website management (Word Press), basic videography, and interviewing We are also open to considering candidates who are ready to take a step up, those who are driven to grow, ambitious, and willing to do what it takes to succeed.
