Job Description Wellness Advisors have a diverse and role, offering opportunity to assist job seekers who have complex health-related barriers to employment by conducting assessments, undertaking a variety of therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and providing recommendations to appropriate vocational and non-vocational supports.
This is a permanent opportunity.
Full time hours available, Part time hours will be considered Key duties of the role will include: Conduct thorough assessments of clients with a range of disabilities and barriers to employment, including functional capacity assessments, needs assessments and job task analyses and more.
Develop strategies and interventions to improve functional capacity and work-readiness; Outline recommendations for services, supports and interventions Deliver intervention as needed, utilising a holistic approach and a broad range of therapeutic methodologies; Refer clients to additional external support services to help address barriers to employment; Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor the progression of cases.
Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of clients Provide guidance and guidance to at Work staff on work practices and procedures to prevent and/or minimise exacerbation of health symptoms and facilitate successful entry into employment.
Qualifications A qualification in Occupational therapy and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Understanding of multidisciplinary barriers to employment.
Experience in delivering person-centered Occupational Therapy services within community or rehabilitation services.
Experience of working within employment services highly regarded.
Exceptional communication, rapport building skills and engagement.
Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports.
Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
Ability to provide a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and Work with Children's Check Additional Information What we will give you: A competitive salary depending on experience.
