Your Role : Be a dynamic part of the English team, collegially creating rich learning experiences that strengthen students academically and with their general dispositions.
Previous experience is desirable, or a capacity to create resources, assessment tasks and lessons that align with the new Stage 4-5 English Syllabus, including the meaningful inclusion of technology and project-based learning experiences where applicable.
Have the capacity and willingness to teach all Stage 6 courses, and knowledge of syllabus requirements, as well as an understanding of NESA requirements for Stage 6 English Courses.
Have strong communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to build strong connections with students, staff and the wider school community.
About you : Be a highly committed professional and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of students; Be an excellent classroom practitioner and communicator; Be committed to academic excellence with high expectations of students; Possess strong interpersonal skills, valuing relationships with colleagues and stakeholders; Collaborate with colleagues in developing integrated learning experiences for junior students; Have experience with Stage 6 learning, including teaching the New Stage 6 Syllabus (and demonstrated success); Be committed to their own professional learning and growth; Be pastorally minded and comfortable with sharing your faith; Have an understanding of the wellbeing needs of adolescents; and, Be willing to actively contribute to the extra-curricular life of the College.
Guidelines for Application : Candidates shortlisted for interview will be expected to provide a Working With Children Check clearance number or clearance letter, and must be able to live and work in NSW.
