Job Description We are seeking a Staff Database Systems Support Engineerwith deep expertise in Postgre SQL, Maria DB, My SQL, Oracle, and programming.
This role demands a motivated and experienced professional with a strong understanding of core database concepts and architecture, practical troubleshooting skills.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across operating systems, storage systems, and performance tuning.
You will be working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve complex database and application-related issues, run benchmarking tests, and produce clear technical documentation and presentations.
Key Responsibilities Provide expert-level support for Postgre SQL, Maria DB, My SQL, and Oracledatabase systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues involving performance, availability, and data integrity.
Maintain and enhance WF code to support automation in the cloud.
Collaborate directly with customers to understand their environments and provide solutions tailored to their needs.
Design and executebenchmark teststo evaluate and optimize database performance.
Develop and maintain robust technical documentation, including runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
Present technical content effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications Required Qualifications5+ yearsof hands-on experience in database support and administration.
Expertise in Postgre SQL, Maria DB, My SQL, and Oracleenvironments.
Deep understanding ofdatabase internals, high availability, replication, backup and recovery, partitioning, and indexing.
Practical coding experience with Python, Perl, Java Script, and Shell.
Strong familiarity with Linux/Unixoperating systems andstorage systems(e.g., SAN, NAS, file systems).
Proven experience inperformance tuning and benchmarkingof database systems.
Ability to write and presentclear, concise technical documentationand deliver impactful technical presentations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-starterwith strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience working in customer-facing roles or support environments.
Experience with Service Now workflow architecture and development.
Familiarity with cloud database deployments (AWS RDS, Azure Database Services, etc.).
Knowledge of monitoring tools and database observability platforms.
Present technical content effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
