Principal Civil Engineer, Water Infrastructure

The Opportunity Our team is expanding and due to some significant wins, we are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer with municipal water pipelines, sewer design, trunk main and water reticulation system experience.
You'll be a key member of KBR's Water team who, in a joint venture with John Holland, has been delivering Melbourne Water's complex infrastructure projects through a major design and construction framework, that will see us supporting Melbourne Water for well over a decade of continuous service.
In addition, the team is delivering major capital projects to South East Water's record $1.5 billion investment as part of a new industry partnership between Abergeldie, BMD & KBR (ABK).
The 10-year contract will see ABK plan and deliver major infrastructure upgrades in partnership with South East Water as part of a new integrated capital works planning and delivery model.

Who are you? You are a design-focused Principal Civil Engineer experienced in detailed design, running projects, customer interaction and mentoring juniors.
You will be motivated by achievement, outcome-focused and present professionally to peers, clients, and stakeholders.
You will have previous experience designing major projects across water pipelines from 250mm-1000mm diameter, understand or have experience in sewer design, trunk mains and pump stations through various stages of the design lifecycle.
You possess a pragmatic approach to the development of constructable design solutions and have proven commercial acumen in the delivery of water infrastructure.
You will have the following skills and experience: You have achieved MRWA design accreditation, in both water and/or sewer fields.
You are a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) and have RPEV accreditation or have eligibility to apply for this accreditation.
You have demonstrated experience in the water infrastructure sector in a consulting environment.
Proven ability to work in, and lead, engineering, planning and design modelling teams, work directly with water authority clients, and manage projects to scope, budget and program.
