
Senior Research Officer/research Fellow

The Role Menzies School of Health Research has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Officer or Research Fellow to work within the Remote Health Systems and Climate Change Centre (RHC3) in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) to ensure the smooth running of research projects, and to bring about improvements in Aboriginal health in remote Australia.
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high quality research as a member of a multi-institutional research team, working with the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence for Strengthening Health Systems in Remote Australia (CRESTRA) to increase health workforce retention in remote communities.
They will also establish and maintain effective and respectful research partnerships with key stakeholders; be able to identify and synthesise existing relevant literature and be involved in professional activities including conferences, workshops and seminars translating research related to these projects.
About You As a motivated individual, you will have exemplary verbal and written communication skills with advanced interpersonal skills and a proven track record in writing high quality reports.
You Also Have A doctoral degree with postgraduate qualification in health or public health with a record of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of tertiary qualification and relevant research.
Demonstrated understanding of qualitative research, analytical and evaluation skills, approaches and methodologies, and an aptitude to apply these to health services and public health research and evaluation contexts.
Proven ability to make significant and original high-quality contributions to research through activities such as quality publications and external grant acquisition that expand knowledge and practice in the discipline.

The Benefits Base Salary $109,828 - $128,734 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $135,471 - $157,024 per annum).
Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum and $2,650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
Option to increase Super to 14%.
