My Place is a values-based organisation that supports individuals with disabilities in pursuing the lifestyle of their choice.
We are assisting a 28-year-old woman living in her own home in the Margaret River area who is seeking an experienced, reliable and motivated female support worker assist her.
You will be employed by the individual and her family.
The individual and her family are looking for someone who can provide patience, support her dignity, assist with basic personal care, aid in outings, and help with basic household chores.
We seek someone with the skills and experience to communicate creatively with someone who has delayed information processing and difficulties with initiation and impulsivity.
Successful applicants will support her in managing her micro business selling flowers and increasing her activity and access to the community.
Ideally, applicants will have a love for music and art and experience in managing seizures and providing basic personal care.
However, we will provide training for those with the right values and attitude.
We offer competitive pay rates and a lovely, friendly working environment.
Applicants must be respectful, consistent in their support, work collaboratively as part of a team, be trustworthy, and attentive.
Applicants must have a driver's license and their own vehicle or transport to and from the workplace.
Additionally, applicants must have completed the NDIS Worker Screening process and the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety, and You,' and be willing to undergo a medical assessment.

The current support hours available are:

Week 1: Friday 3 pm - 9 pm
Week 2: Friday 3 pm - Saturday 9 am

Casual Pay Rates:

Mon-Fri/Sat/Sun: $39/hr
Public Holiday: $50/hr
Passive sleep/on-call hours (9pm-5am): $10/hr
