More detail of NCVER's activities can be found on our Portal at www.ncver.edu.au About the role NCVER is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified individual to lead our newly formed Ask NCVER Branch.
The branch delivers tailored data analytics, research, and consultancy services to internal and external clients.
The successful candidate will have a track record in strategic project delivery, exercising strong commercial acumen, with client satisfaction, while fostering innovation in data services and integration across NCVER's platforms—particularly information management assets.
The role will manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals, guiding their growth, and ensuring high standards of analytical rigour and continuous improvement.
The role requires forging influential relationships with stakeholders, including senior government officials and industry representatives, and actively promoting NCVER's value in research and evaluation.
A key accountability is driving the development of both the core and commercial business streams to strengthen the organisation's impact.
About you The successful candidate will require the following skills and experience: Significant experience in managing complex projects to successful completion within agreed scope, budget and success criteria.
Previous experience leading, coaching and mentoring staff.
Sound knowledge of and strong experience in managing VET analytics, research, information services, and evaluation projects, including within commercial requirements.
Relevant experience and qualifications in data analytics, information services and/or research, evaluation or related disciplines.
Excellent written and oral communications and presentation skills.
Deep knowledge of VET.
To be successful in this position you will require a proven history of leading and maximising the potential of diverse skillsets to develop a high performing team of information services officers, data analysts and researchers.
This, coupled with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to manage complex relationships with government, industry and VET community stakeholders will be vital to your success.

Ongoing full-time position, based in Adelaide or located in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra will be considered with regular travel to Adelaide.

A generous salary package commensurate with skills and expertise will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
