Job Title: Front Desk Officer
Full-time temporary contract (4 weeks with potential for extension) in Townsville
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and visitors at the Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centre, providing a warm and professional experience.
- Offer high-level customer service by responding to phone calls, emails, and in-person queries in a friendly and efficient manner, directing clients to relevant staff when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting reception area that reflects the organisation's values, ensuring clients feel respected and well cared for.
- Handle confidential client information with discretion and professionalism, adhering to privacy legislation and internal policies.
- Manage appointment calendars for Allied Health Providers, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling, as well as handling rescheduling and cancellations efficiently.
- Provide administrative support for billing, including DVA and Medicare procedures, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of payments.
- Monitor and maintain electronic medical records, ensuring accurate and secure entry of client information and quick retrieval of files.
- Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration, with a strong understanding of office systems and clinical procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of billing processes, particularly with DVA and Medicare, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial procedures.
- A warm and welcoming personality, offering exceptional customer service and effective communication with clients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism.
- Confidentiality and discretion, with a solid understanding of privacy legislation and the importance of handling sensitive information carefully.
