About the Role

As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our customers' equipment, ensuring their operations run smoothly.

Your expertise will help us build long-term partnerships and uphold our commitment to exceptional service.

Your Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment

  • Document machine information and repairs on work orders, including parts, time, and fluids used

  • Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment

  • Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities

  • Understand and interpret technical drawings and schematics

  • Manage time effectively and stay organized

  • Process paperwork accurately, including technical, service, and warranty reports

  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations

Your Skills and Attributes

  • Relevant Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent)

  • Dual trade or experience in air-conditioning and/or auto electrical work is highly regarded

  • Valid driver's license

  • Experience in servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major repairs is highly regarded

  • Knowledge of Kenworth and DAF equipment is a plus

  • Strong customer service focus and engaging work approach

  • Solid electrical and IT skills

  • Mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to work

  • Possession of relevant tickets and licenses (e.g., High Risk Work Licence-Forklift Licence) is highly regarded
