We are recruiting for Retail Security Officers to support a major client in the safety and security of their staff and stores.

If you have experience in crowd control, excellent conflict management skills, good presence and an ability to deal with a variety of situations, then this may be the ideal role for you.

The positions will involve supporting the store team in identifying and preventing theft and unacceptable behaviour, requiring a proactive and motivated individual.

  • Retail Security Officer positions are available on a permanent basis in Tweed Heads and Gold Coast, with rotating shifts 7 days a week from 1600 - 2100.

Remuneration rates are as follows:

Monday to Friday: $26.22 per hour

Weeknights: $31.91 per hour

Saturday: $39.33 per hour

Sunday: $52.44 per hour

Public Holidays: $65.55 per hour

The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Conduct high visibility patrols at entrances and registers
  • Engage with customers in a positive and friendly manner
  • Liaise with store management and team members
  • Assist staff with difficult customers
  • Monitor individuals under the influence of alcohol and drugs or displaying mental health indicators
  • Conduct random and targeted bag searches based on client procedures
  • Assist with emergency management
  • Complete incident reports as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Valid Security Officer Licence
  • Current First Aid certificate/CPR
  • Drivers Licence
