Job Title: Senior Project Engineer Location: Downer, Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia Join our team at Downer to contribute to vital water infrastructure projects in Sydney.
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our consortium on a full-time, permanent basis.
You will be responsible for delivering a diverse range of projects upgrading Sydney Water's water infrastructure, reporting to the Project Manager.
About the Role Confluence Water, a joint venture between Ventia, Downer, and Jacobs, provides essential services for Sydney Water across the North Region of Sydney, including design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and the Hills Shire.
We are delivering an unprecedented pipeline of capital works over the next 10 years.
About You Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Proven construction experience, including on-site work Experience with reservoir projects is advantageous Familiarity with Sydney Water FIFM process is preferred Leadership skills in health, safety, quality, and environmental management Experience with major tier-1 contractors or Sydney Water projects Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Client relationship and stakeholder management experience Experience with site-based construction works Ability to scope and deliver mechanical work packages Teamwork and stakeholder management skills Proactive problem-solving and solutions-focused mindset What We Offer Benefits including health and wellness initiatives Opportunities for career growth within an industry leader Competitive salary with ongoing training and support Long-term involvement in a secure JV project A safety-focused culture in an essential service industry We encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.
