Mingara Community Engagement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Manager to join our team at Mingara. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our business plan and strategic vision for Mingara and our other clubs across NSW.

You will be responsible for creating valuable strategic relationships within our local community and acting as an ambassador for the Mingara brand. This includes contributing to our various welfare, education, health, and sporting projects that benefit our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management and delivery of key community events and projects
  • Management of The Westport Club's Community budget
  • Providing leadership for our wider team in club operations
  • Working as part of the Destination Leadership team in the execution of the site's business plan
  • Administration of The Westport Club's Club GRANT's program in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Providing support to our Sub and Affiliated Sporting Clubs to ensure their administration is maintained, and compliant with legislative requirements
  • Involvement in local committees who work together to identify, understand, and prioritise community need
Requirements:
  • Great communication skills and confidence in public speaking and networking
  • The ability to maintain great relationships and strategic partnerships with all levels of Government and local media
  • Excellent administration skills including advanced computer skills and report writing
  • Natural leadership skills and the ability to foster a collaborative working culture at all levels in an organisation
  • The ability to roll up your sleeves up and contribute towards the operational success of the organisation
