As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, we're on the lookout for a commercially astute General Manager to drive profitability and operational excellence.
What's the Role? This newly created position is central to Bullet's evolution.
Reporting to and partnering closely with our Founding Director, you'll take the reins of finance, operations, and people, ensuring Bullet thrives in an increasingly evolving market.
Key Responsibilities Finance: Establish and implement our annual budget ensuring we're hitting monthly revenue targets across existing and new business pillars.
Regularly update and refine business performance metrics, tracking mechanisms, and cash-flow management.
Oversee the finance function, managing the external financial advisors.
Collaborate with the Founding Director to ensure alignment with Bullet's company vision and goals.
Support the Founding Director in high-level decision-making by providing operational insights and updates.
Partner with Client Services and Creative Operations to ensure alignment with broader business goals.
Lead company-wide initiatives to optimise business processes, implement new technologies, and pursue revenue-generating opportunities.
Oversee existing invoicing and finance systems to continue to streamline operations.
Provide mentorship and guidance to the senior leadership team.
Collaborate with HR consultants on organisational structure, hiring, and professional development strategies.
Contribute to wider business and function KPI setting and performance reviews.
Foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Operations: Provide oversight and guidance to Creative Operations as it relates to office management, compliance, third-party escalations and workplace running costs.
Ongoing review and optimisation of ongoing subscriptions and expenses to enhance efficiency, cost management, and revenue growth.
Regularly review and refine operational processes, metrics, and policies in line with industry best practices.
Key Challenges to address: Mentoring leadership to promote accountability and cross-lead collaboration.
Streamlining creative operations to drive cross-functional efficiency.
Developing strategies that enhance profitability in a competitive market.
Embedding a client-first culture, ensuring exceptional service is lived and breathed across the business to drive long-term relationships and repeat work.
Who are we looking for? Agency experience is a must – preferably in brand, design, or place branding.
10+ years in senior leadership, ideally already in a General Manager role or equivalent.
Proven ability to scale businesses, streamline operations and drive profitability.
Strong foundation in agency operations, finance and revenue growth.
Experience working with Founders/CEOs in an independent agency environment.
