Your Role : Be a dynamic part of the English team, collegially creating rich learning experiences that strengthen students academically and with their general dispositions.
Previous experience is desirable, or a capacity to create resources, assessment tasks, and lessons that align with the new Stage 4-5 English Syllabus, including the meaningful inclusion of technology and project-based learning experiences where applicable.
Have the capacity and willingness to teach all Stage 6 courses, and knowledge of syllabus requirements, as well as an understanding of NESA requirements for Stage 6 English Courses.
Have strong communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to build strong connections with students, staff, and the wider school community.
About you : The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience : Be a highly committed professional and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of students.
Be an excellent classroom practitioner and communicator.
Be committed to academic excellence with high expectations of students.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, valuing relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Collaborate with colleagues in developing integrated learning experiences for junior students.
Have experience with Stage 6 learning, including teaching the New Stage 6 Syllabus (and demonstrated success).
Be committed to their own professional learning and growth.
Be pastorally minded and comfortable with sharing your faith.
Have an understanding of the wellbeing needs of adolescents.
Be willing to actively contribute to the extra-curricular life of the College.
Hold a recognised teaching qualification and current NESA registration or eligibility for registration.
